OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - Dozens of settlers stormed, this morning, the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its chapels, and performed provocative Talmudic rituals under the strict protection of the occupation forces, Wednesday, Sept 15.
205 settlers, protected by the occupation forces, have stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalemite sources reported.
As part of the continuous provocative behavior, the sources explained that the settlers toured the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, and performed public Talmudic rituals inside them.
The settlers stormed the mosque on their “holiday”, wearing T-shirts that read "Let's Build the Temple", and public rituals, the sources added.
For its part, the Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Committee called on the Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied interior for Ribat (Defending Islam from aggressors) and gathering in Al-Aqsa squares to thwart the plans of the occupation and its settlers on the eve of their alleged holidays.
Extremist settlers’ groups have repeatedly called for large-scale incursions during September under the pretext of the so-called Jewish holiday season.
These incursions also take place during the morning and evening shifts (after the Dhuhr prayer) through the Mughrabi Gate in the Western Wall of Al-Aqsa, under the protection of the occupation forces, as part of periodic tours they carry out aimed at changing the reality in the Holy City and the Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque.
During the period of incursions, the occupation forces evacuate the eastern area and let go the worshipers and guardians of the mosque, to facilitate the settlers’ storming.
The occupation targets Jerusalemites through detention, deportations, and fines, intending to keep them away from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and leaving it as a pretext for settlement ambitions.
According to the periodic report issued by the Hamas media office in the West Bank, the number of settlers who stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during August reached (2309), while one Palestinian citizen was expelled from Al-Aqsa.
The occupation forces and the settlers committed 22 attacks on places of worship and holy sites. Meanwhile, they have protected thousands of settlers who broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
