Occupied Jerusalem - The Israeli occupation forces quelled, yesterday evening, Tuesday, a vigil in solidarity with the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood residents threatened with forced displacement in the interest of settlement expansion.

And local sources reported that the occupation forces tightened their military measures in the eastern area of ​​the neighborhood, crushing the solidarity activists, and driving them away.

In this context, the occupation soldiers raided the Shu'fat Camp camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. No detentions were reported.

Earlier, the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood the occupation authorities have been trying to seize affirmed their unanimous rejection of the proposal for settlement brought forward by an “Israeli” occupation court.

The residents said, in a press release, "This settlement seeks to make us like "protected tenants" of the settlement association "Nahalat Shimon", and gradually paves the way to rob us of our lands."
