The Ministry of Education documented, Israeli occupation killed two students and arrested 161 during the year 2019.

The Ministry, in a statement on Sunday, on the occasion of World Education Day, indicated that the occupation continues to violate the right of education, especially in the city of Jerusalem, Hebron, in the areas named “C” and in the Gaza Strip

The Ministry reviewed the violations of the occupation against the educational process during 2019, indicating that the occupation killed two students, arrested 161 students, and 17 teachers and administrative employees, injured 175 students and 120 teachers and administrative employees, detained 101 students and 40 teachers and administrators.

The ministry added that the occupation demolished two schools, handed over demolition notices, and halted construction, confiscation, and closure of a number of other schools."
 

The Ministry of Education stressed that the violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the right of education constitute a real challenge in front of achieving the internationally announced goals.

And adherence to international covenants to work hard to develop educational systems and its stages.

It is worth mentioning that the World Education Day was approved by the United Nations on January 24 of each year.
