The Canadian city of Toronto has seen on Saturday evening a demonstration to protest against Israeli plans to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank.
Organised by the Palestinian Youth Union and the Association of Palestinian Arab Canadians in collaboration with the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and pro-Palestine Canadian organisations, the rally was attended by college students and pro-Palestine activists.
The demonstrators voiced their absolute rejection of annexation, settlement activities, and the “deal of the century”, calling for an end to the occupation of the Palestinian territories.
The participants also urged the Canadian government to recognise the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital and impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation and hold it accountable for its crimes against Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Hundreds of pro-Palestine activists on Saturday took to the streets of the Danish capital, Copenhagen, to express their opposition to Israeli annexation plan.
The protesters called on the Danish government to support the Palestinian people and pressure the Israeli occupation to implement international resolutions.
The Israeli occupation has violated all international resolutions thanks to the unlimited US support for it and international silence over its crimes against Palestinians, the demonstrators stressed.
Waving Palestinian flags and shouting pro-Palestine slogans, the participants called for the Danish government to take a “decisive and clear” stance on annexation and recognise the State of Palestine.
