Israeli occupation re-arrests Majd Barbar one day after his release

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, March 31 - Israeli occupation forces Tuesday re-arrested liberated Jerusalemite prisoner Majd Barbar, one day after his release.

Barbar was released last Monday after he completed his 20-year prison term.

He had been arrested on March 30, 2001, during a campaign that targeted many Jerusalemite citizens before he was sentenced to 20 years in jails on charges of his affiliation with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and his role in resisting the occupation.

The occupation authorities often re-arrest freed Palestinian prisoners from Jerusalem and hold them for few days to prevent their families, friends, and neighbors from celebrating their release.
