Occupied Jerusalem
May 4, 2021
At least 20 Palestinian citizens suffered injuries when Israeli occupation forces attacked homes and participants in a peaceful protest sit-in staged in the East Jerusalem suburb of Sheikh Jarrah on Monday night.
The Red Crescent said its ambulance crews provided medical assistance for 20 citizens and transferred some of them to a nearby hospital after attacking the protest and violently raiding homes in Sheikh Jarrah.
According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces also sprayed skunk water on protesters and homes in Sheikh Jarrah and showered them with tear gas and stun grenades.
Several citizens were reportedly kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces from Sheikh Jarrah last night.
Many Jerusalemite families are facing displacement threats after Jewish groups recently extracted an Israeli court decision giving them the green light to take over homes in Sheikh Jarrah.
