At least 39 Palestinians suffocated as Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at them while four others suffered from bruises after Israeli settlers and occupation forces attacked the at-Tuwani village in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil last night.

According to local sources, a horde of extremist Israeli settlers infiltrated Tuwani village and attacked homes before residents managed to fend them off and force them to withdraw to al-Ahrash area.

Soon later, Israeli occupation forces intervened to protect the settlers and intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades at the Palestinian Jerusalemites and their homes.

Following that vicious attack, the Israeli occupation forces laid siege to the village as a punitive measure against the residents for resisting the settlers.
