The Israeli occupation forces brutally killed the Palestinian young woman Mai Khaled Afana, 29 from Abu Dis village, at Hizma military checkpoint in occupied Jerusalem today morning.  

The Israeli occupation forces killed Mai Afana, a university lecturer who holds an MA degree in psychology at Al-Quds University, in a cold blood for allegedly attempting to run over Israeli occupation soldiers at Hizam military checkpoint. 

The Israeli occupation used to kill Palestinian women in such a manner. 

On June 12, 2021, the Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian woman at Qalandia military checkpoint under the same pretext. 

Frequently, the Israeli occupation forces torture, arrest, or shoot at any Palestinian person, they claim that he/she intended to carry out a "run over or stabbing" operation as a pretext to kill Palestinians at the checkpoints in cold blood.
