July 18, 2021

Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, violently attacked Palestinian worshippers, and forcibly expelled them before detaining some of them and closing the Al-Qibali prayer hall with iron chains at dawn today.

According to local sources, nearly 420 Israeli settlers forced their way into the Al-Aqsa Mosque through Al-Maghariba and Al-Silsila gates while the heavily armed Israeli occupation forces brutally assaulted Palestinian worshippers in the Al-Qibali prayer hall and inside courtyards of the Al-Aqsa compounds.

The Israeli occupation forces heavily fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian worshippers inside the Al-Qibali prayer hall at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, causing many of them to suffocate.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation soldiers detained a young Palestinian man in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented paramedics from getting access to the Al-Qibali prayer hall to provide medical assistance for the injured worshippers.

Hundreds of Palestinian Jerusalemites and Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 headed to the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the last night to face off the Israeli settlers' raid.
