The Israeli occupation municipality handed over a Palestinian, in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a notice of demolition of his building.

“The occupation authorities handed the Palestinian Jerusalemite, Yaqoub Al-Rajabi, a notice of self-demolition of his house by August 15”, local sources said.

The building consists of three floors; It has two apartments and three shops.

The occupation authorities claim that the shops and houses threatened with demolition in the Al-Bustan neighborhood were built without a building permit.

According to specialists, the real goal of this demolition is to establish a biblical garden on the ruins of the neighborhood’s houses in the scheme of the so-called "Holy Basin", which starts from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood to Al-Bustan neighborhood through the Old City of Jerusalem.
