August 11, 2021
WEST BANK, Aug 11 - The Israeli Occupation Military Court renewed, for the second time in a row, the administrative detention of the prisoner Hatem Ahmed Sabarneh from the town of Beit Ummar, northwest of al-Khalil, in the south of the occupied West Bank for a period of 4 months.
The Israeli occupation forces detained Sabarneh and held him in administrative detention on Apr 13, 2021, the Al-Asra Mesia Office reported.
The office added that the occupation court issued an administrative decision against him a week after his arrest, for a period of 4 months, and when he was to complete it, the court renewed the detention for another four months.
The prisoner, Sabarneh, is a former prisoner who was arrested several times and spent 6 years in the occupation jails on charges of belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement. He was released last October after 20 months of detention under arbitrary administrative detention and was re-arrested 6 months after his release.
