Israeli occupation forces shoot dead Palestinian child in Nablus

NABLUS, Aug 24 - A Palestinian teen was martyred by Israeli gunfire during fierce confrontations erupted at dawn today between Palestinian resistance fighters in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, and the Israeli occupation forces, after breaking into the camp.

The occupation forces stormed Balata refugee camp at dawn to detain Palestinians, local sources reported.

Imad Khaled Hashash, 17, was shot by the occupation forces while he was on the roof of his house. He was transferred to Rafidia Hospital, where he was declared dead, local sources reported.

The factions and institutions of Balata camp mourned the martyr Imad Khaled Hashash and declared public mourning today in Balata camp.

A video clip showed the sounds of gunfire coinciding with the storming of the camp by the occupation forces, in the early hours of the morning.

The killing of Hashhash brought the death toll of Palestinian children killed by ‘Israel’ to 78 since the start of 2021, 12 in the occupied West Bank and 66 in the Gaza Strip.

In the same context, the occupation forces detained the young man, Saad Kaabi, after raiding and searching his house in the Balata refugee camp.

Balata camp is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in the West Bank. It was established in 1950 on an area of ​​252 dunums within the boundaries of the city of Nablus.
