Al-Qassam Website - With their tails between their legs, the Israeli occupation forces have withdrawn from the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, two days after it had launched a full-scale offensive against the city and its refugee camp.
The occupation forces' aggression and deadly raid into the occupied city and refugee camp have wreaked havoc, resulting in the loss of at least 12 civilian lives, including three minors, the injury of more than 120, and the complete destruction of homes and infrastructure.
The Israeli occupation authorities have launched a major aerial and ground offensive into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the biggest military attack on the Palestinian territory in two decades since the Battle of Jenin in 2002.
During the onslaught, the occupation bulldozers razed streets and destroyed homes and infrastructure, cutting off electricity and water in the crowded refugee camp. Use of excessive force, summary execution of Palestinians, and targeting of civilians by the genocidal Israeli occupation forces have been reported.
Following the withdrawal, thousands of Palestinians, who had been forced out of their home, returned to encounter extensive devastation following the two-day aggression by the Israeli occupation army.
Despite the tanks, armoured vehicles, helicopters, and bulldozers deployed to crush the resistance, the people of Jenin demonstrated their unwavering commitment to resistance. They employed strategies to defend their homes and community against the lethal onslaught. Fighters from various Palestinian factions, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad joined forces to confront the Zionist occupation military forces.
The substantial losses inflicted by Palestinian resistance fighters on Israeli occupation forces and military vehicles in Jenin were a testament to their unswerving resolve and refusal to surrender their rights.
The deadly raid on Jenin showcased the strength and resilience of the Palestinian people, who refused to give up in the face of immense military power. It also served as a wake-up call to the international community, highlighting the urgent need for swift action to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
