Al-Qassam Brigades mourns great West Bank leader

With the highest pride and unwavering trust in Allah’s imminent victory, the Ezzeddin Al-Qassam Brigades mourns:

The martyred commander and mujahid, Farah Ahmad Abdul Majid Hamed,
Member of the Military Council of the Al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank

Hamed was martyred, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, following a cowardly assassination targeting him west of Gaza City. May Allah accept him among the martyrs and grant him the highest ranks in Paradise.

Commander “Abu Ahmed” was martyred after a great journey of jihad and sacrifice. He was part of the Silwad Qassam cell that carried out 9 heroic operations in the West Bank during the Al-Aqsa Intifada (uprising), killing 6 Zionists — most of them soldiers — and wounding others. Following his release from captivity as part of the Wafa Al-Ahrar prisoner swap deal in 2011, he continued his path of jihad in the Gaza Strip, leading, directing, and advancing at the front until he was martyred.

As the Al-Qassam Brigades bids farewell to one of the West Bank’s great leaders who spent his life striving in the path of Allah, we renew our covenant with Allah to continue on the path of Jihad, no matter how great the sacrifices. We call on the youth and heroes of the West Bank to walk in the footsteps of Commander Abu Ahmed, to shake off complacency, and to rise to defend their land, their honor, and their holy sites. This is the path, and here is the field. Allah is with you and will never let your deeds be lost.
Indeed, this is a Jihad... unto victory or martyrdom.
