GAZA - The Israeli occupation naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the northwestern coast, Beit Lahia, of the Gaza strip, today, Monday, Sept 20.

The occupation gunboats heavily fired towards the fishermen's boats off the coast of Al-Sudanya area, northwest of Gaza. These fishing boats had been sailing well within the occupation-enforced restricted fishing zone.

It is noteworthy that the occupation naval forces deliberately disturb the lives of Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Sea on a daily basis, and prevent them from fishing on the sea.

The occupation had restricted the fishing zone off the besieged enclave purportedly in response to rocket fire from inside the strip towards its entity.
