WEST BANK, Oct 12 - The Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of detentions in separate areas of the occupied West Bank, most of whom are freed prisoners, during which a young man was injured.
The occupation forces, in large numbers, raided the town of Tamun, south of the governorate of Tubas, northern West Bank, at dawn today, and carried out a “security” activity, during which confrontations between the youths and the occupation forces who were stationed in the two areas of the al-Shuhada’ roundabout and the el-Babor, local sources added.
The occupation forces fired live bullets, injuring a Palestinian young man in the foot, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, the sources added.
In north of Ramallah, the occupation forces detained the freed prisoner, Musa Ladado, from the town of Abu Shkhaydam, who had spent more than ten years in the occupation jails, and the freed prisoner, Qassam Majd Al-Barghouti, from the town of Kober, after raiding his house.
In al-Khalil, the Israeli occupation forces detained, the freed prisoner, Saleh Yahya Ishaq Al-Jabari, after raiding his house.
Relatives of Al-Jabari stated the occupation forces stormed into the house, searched it, tampered with its contents, and detained him.
The family pointed out that Al-Jabari had spent only four months in freedom after 14 years of detention, and that the occupation authorities released him last June.
The occupation forces also detained the freed prisoners, Qassam Al-Halaiqa and Abdullah Zayed Al-Halaiqa, after raiding and searching their homes in the town of Al-Shuyoukh, northeast of al-Khalil.
Furthermore, they detained the two brothers, Abdullah Ahmad Al-Khelil, 25, and Saif Ahmed Al-Khelil, 22, after searching their house and tampering with its contents.
In Nablus, the occupation forces stormed into the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and detained the young man Hisham Dweikat after raiding and searching his family's home and tampering with its contents.
In Qalqilya, the occupation forces raided the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, detained Mamoun Qatesh and his two sons Hazem and Muhammad, and seized their vehicle.
In Bethlehem, the occupation forces raided the house of Suleiman Al-Sabah in the town of Tekoa, searched it, and tampered with its contents.
It is noteworthy that the town of Tekoa is constantly subject to violations by the occupation forces by detaining its residents, erecting military checkpoints at its entrances, and assaulting and battering its school students.
