GAZA STRIP, Oct 20 - A Palestinian young man succumbed to wounds he sustained from the Israeli occupation forces’ live ammunition, during the Great Return March, in the eastern Gaza Strip, two years ago.

The young man, Muhammed Lubbad, 19, has passed away today’s early morning, after two years of suffering after he was seriously injured while participating in the Great March of Return demonstrations along the Gaza Strip borders, local sources reported.

The Great March of Return protests were a series of demonstrations held each Friday in the Gaza Strip near the perimeter fence eastern Gaza strip for almost a year and 9 months. The demonstrators demanded that the Palestinian refugees be allowed to return to lands they were displaced from in 1948. They also protested against the occupation authorities' long-decade blockade on Gaza and the United States’ recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
