Large-scale detention campaign across occupied West Bank

WEST BANK - Last night, and at dawn today, the Israeli occupation forces launched a massive detention campaign in separate areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem, Monday, October 25.

In the occupied city of Jenin, dozens of Palestinian citizens suffocated, during confrontations with the occupation forces, during which two young men were detained, when the occupation forces raided the town of Ya'bad, southwest of the city.

The occupation forces detained the Palestinian ex-detainee, Anas Adnan Hamarsheh, after beating him up, noting that he is the son of the leader and the freed detainee, Sheikh Adnan Hamrasha, who has become disabled as a result of his previous detention and the severe torture he was subjected to, local sources reported.

Furthermore, last night, the occupation forces detained five Palestinian citizens, including children, from the governorates of Nablus and Salfit, in the northern West Bank.

Separate areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem have been witnessing daily arrests, that intensify in night hours, sabotaging the contents of and terrorizing the defenseless residents. 

The occupation forces committed 2,694 violations against Palestinians last September, which increased by 40% compared to September of the previous year 2020, Hamas media office in the West Bank reported. 

The report documented 156 raids of citizens' homes and 315 incursions into various areas in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, during which they detained 363 Palestinians, and the number of checkpoints set up reached 352.
