Extremist settlers attack olive harvesters south Nablus

October 26, 2021

WEST BANK, Oct 26 - Today, Monday, herds of settlers attacked olive harvesters on the road between Aqraba and Yanun, south of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.

A group of "Itamar" settlers attacked the olive harvesters in the lands adjacent to the road between Aqraba and Yanun, which has been closed for more than 20 years by the occupation authorities, local sources reported.

The extremist settlers fired gas canisters on the Palestinian farmers, under the protection of the occupation soldiers, as a result of which many were injured. Then, they started collecting and robing the olives from the Palestinians’ land, the sources added.

The situation is extremely dangerous amid the settlers’ escalatory attacks that target the citizens and their properties, by the start of the olive harvest season, the sources pointed out.

The occupation forces committed 2,694 violations against Palestinians last September, which increased by 40% compared to September of the previous year 2020, Hamas media office in the West Bank reported.

The report counted (11) colonial attacks, ranging from seizing and razing lands, and building bypasses, to approving the construction of settlement units.
