WEST BANK & Jerusalem - The Israeli occupation forces injured dozens of Palestinians when they suppressed marches in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, Sunday, October 31.
On Friday, the Israeli occupation forces detained two Jerusalemites, after attacking a group of Jerusalemites at the entrance to the al-Yusufiya cemetery, in occupied Jerusalem.
Moreover, they fired sound bombs at the people, during confrontations in the vicinity of the Yusufiya cemetery, after preventing the families of bodies buried there from entering it.
This week, the Israeli occupation authorities carried out excavation works in the cemetery adjacent to the walls of the Old City in occupied Jerusalem.
The so-called Israeli "Nature Authority" has worked, since the morning hours, to carry out excavations, landfills, and bulldozing in the cemetery, under the protection of the occupation forces who prevent Jerusalemites from approaching it.
Furthermore, the occupation forces closed the entrance that leads to the Martyr's Tomb (the northern extension to the Yusufiya cemetery).
A young man was also wounded by live ammunition, and two other boys were detained, during confrontations with the occupation forces, in Husan village, west of Bethlehem.
Besides, confrontations erupted at the eastern main entrance to the village of Husan, "Al Muteena area", after the occupation forces stormed into it and fired live bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs. As a result, a young man in his twenties was injured by a metal bullet in his hand. He was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Bethlehem for treatment.
The occupation forces also detained the two boys, Muhammad Khaled Hamamra, 14, and Mahmoud Abdel Wahab Hamamra, 17, and raided the house of Fadi Ishaq Sabateen, and reviewed the CCTV recordings at a gas station.
Meanwhile, dozens of citizens were wounded by metal bullets and tear gas during demonstrations against settlements in the towns of Beita and Beit Dajan, in the Nablus governorate, in the northern occupied West Bank.
The occupation forces suppressed the weekly march rejecting the settlement outpost on the summit of Jabal Sabih (Sabih Mount) in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, local sources reported.
Additionally, one of the Red Crescent paramedics was wounded by metal bullets in the hand, while dozens of others suffocated.
Earlier, the occupation forces bulldozed the roads leading to Jabal Sabih to obstruct demonstrators and ambulance crews.
The occupation forces also suppressed the march that started after Friday prayer in the town of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, in refusal of the settlement outpost established east of the town.
In the same context, two young men were wounded by metal bullets, and dozens suffocated during the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly Kafr Qaddum march, east of Qalqilya.
The coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, Murad Shteiwi, stated that violent confrontations erupted after the start of the march after performing Friday prayer, during which the occupation soldiers fired metal bullets and tear gas canisters on the marchers, leaving many injured.
It is noteworthy that the march is held weekly to oppose settlements, and to demand the opening of the village street, which has been closed for more than 17 years, in favor of the "Qaddumim" settlement built on the village lands.
