OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - On Saturday evening, the Israeli occupation forces detained a child after brutally assaulting him near Bab al-Amud, in occupied Jerusalem, October 30.
In the past two weeks, the occupation forces escalated their attacks on Palestinian civilians in the Bab al-Amoud plaza as part of their attempts to prevent the Palestinian presence in the area.
Furthermore, earlier on Saturday evening, settlers attacked Palestinians in the Jaber neighborhood in the Old City of al-Khalil.
Arif Jaber, a human rights activist, confirmed that a number of settlers pepper-sprayed a little boy, as a result of which he suffered burns.
The settlers are still flocking to the streets of the Old City and its alleys to celebrate the so-called "Sarah's Saturday", with the aim of Judaizing the city, Jaber added.
