Tension prevails in Israeli occupation jails as Israel abuses Palestinian female detainees

December 21, 2021

The Prisoners’ Information Office reported that "severe tension prevails in all of the occupation jails, and all sections are completely closed".

The office said, in a brief statement, that communication with detainees of Section 12 in the Israeli "Nafha" jail has been cut off, and the fate of more than 80 detainees is unknown.

“We are really concerned for the lives of the detainees of Section 12 in Nafha jail that they might be subjected to systematic repression by the occupation jail’s administration”, the office added.

The office stressed that the fate of the heroic detainee, Youssef Al-Mabhouh, who took revenge on the abuse of Palestinian female detainees by the occupation forces, is still unknown, and warned of a real danger to his life.

The detainee, Youssef Talaat Al-Mabhouh, carried out a stabbing attack in the Nafha desert jail, in which an Israeli jailer was wounded, in response to the crime of the occupation’s assault on female detainees.

The female detainees in Damoun jail were subjected to beatings and dragging, as one of them fainted due to the brutal beating by the occupation soldiers.

The jail’s administration has put the leading detainee, Mona Qaadan, in solitary confinement after they isolated the two detainees, Farah Bakir and Shorouk Dwaiyat, and prevented them from showering for three days.
