January 10, 2022

The Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and detentions in separate areas in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Prisoners’ Information Office, the occupation forces detained 17 citizens, including Ibrahim Khabisa, Omar Salama Bani Shamsa, Adham Abu Zaitoun, and all three of them from the town of Beita, Nablus District.

They also detained Oday Jamhour from Beit Anan northwest of occupied Jerusalem, the ex-detainees, Alaa Abu Sharifa, and Awab Mubarak, and Ahmed Safi from the Jalazoun refugee camp, the office added.

Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces detained Nasser Muhammad al-Wahsh from Bethlehem, Ramadan al-Hajj Mahmoud from occupied Jerusalem, Abd al-Rahman Muhannad Sadaqa from Anza near occupied Jenin, Hamouda Hammad from Qalandia refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem, and Muhammad Jaafar Taqatqa from Beit Fajjar south of Bethlehem.

From Beit Fajjar, the occupation forces detained Ibrahim Khaled Taqatqa, Muhammad Mahmoud Taqatqa, Mamoun Akram Taqatqa, Rabie Alaa Taqatqa, and Nour El-Din Jalal Taqatqa.

In the same context, the occupation forces stormed the house of the detainee, Yaqoub Qadri, in the town of Bir al-Basha near Jenin, one of the six detainees who managed to escape from Gilboa high-security jail, last September, before re-detaining them a week later.

Separate areas of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem witness daily incursions by the occupation forces, including raids and searches of homes, destroying their contents, and terrorizing their residents, especially women and children.

In its annual report on violations of the Israeli occupation, the media office of Hamas in the occupied West Bank documented that (5,286) Palestinian citizens were detained during the past year 2021.

According to the report, the incursions into various areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem mounted to 4,084 incursions.
