Palestinian Sheikh, Suliman al-Hathalin, 70, succumbs to wounds after Israeli occupation forces run over him two weeks ago, at the entrance to the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil.
On Jan 5, al-Hathalin was hit in the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis when Israeli occupation soldiers rammed their vehicle into him. He was then transferred to the Al-Mizan Hospital in al-Khalil, until he was announced dead this morning.
During his life, Al-Hathlin was detained and assaulted by Israeli occupation forces many times in Masafer Yatta, on the grounds that he took part in confrontations with them.
Sheikh Suliman is seen as an imitable example of steadfastness in confronting the Israeli occupation forces' attacks and schemes aimed at expelling the people of his town, Umm al-Khair.
