Palestinian ex-detainee martyred by Israeli occupation forces in Ramallah

West Bank - Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian ex-detainee, this afternoon, in confrontations that arose, in the village of al-Nabi Saleh, in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate.

Palestine’s Ministry of Health stated that the young man, Nihad Amin Al-Barghouti, 20, was shot with live ammunition in the abdomen, and was taken to a hospital where he was announced dead.

Al-Barghouti is a freed detainee who had spent more than two years in the occupation jails and was detained when he was only 17.

In the same context, confrontations broke out between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to the village of al-Nabi Saleh, during which the occupation soldiers fired live bullets and poison gas canisters at the youths.

The village of Al-Nabi Saleh has been witnessing constant incursions almost on a daily basis by the occupation forces and settlers, where they raid towns and destroy Palestinians’ properties.
