Defending school students, Palestinians injured, others suffocated in Nablus

February 27, 2022

Israeli occupying forces suppressed, this morning, a stand against colonial settlers' attacks on Palestinian students when on their way to schools at the entrance to al-Lubban al-Sharqiya town, south of Nablus.

The occupation forces along with colonial Israeli settlers obstruct the Palestinian students' access to school, as well as brutally assault the Palestinian residents and activists who gather to protect the students from the settlers' attacks.

The entrances to the eastern al-Lubban town witnessed violent confrontations between citizens and the occupation forces. And local sources reported that the occupation forces fired poison gas and sound canisters at the protesters.

The sources added that the occupation forces clamped down the protesters, as a result of which 4 of them were bruised, as they were directly targeted with sound canisters, and dozens of cases suffocated.

The residents of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya suffer from almost daily attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, most notably the assault on secondary school students located on the main Ramallah-Nablus Street, which impedes students' access to their schools.
