Israeli occupation forces compel Jerusalemite to tear his house down

March 09, 2022

Israeli occupation authorities forced a Jerusalemite to personally demolish his house in the Al-Ashqariya neighborhood of Beit Hanina in occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian citizen, Ahmed Abdul-Razzaq Siam, said that he was forced to self-demolish his house after receiving a call from the occupation forces, who threatened him with exorbitant fines if they carry out the demolition. The 60 square-meter-house had been inhabited by Ahmed, his wife, and two sons.

He pointed out that the Israeli occupation municipality demolished a house belonging to him in 2016, and imposed on him a fine of NIS 27,000 for the cost of the demolition.
