Israeli occupation forces flatten 2 Palestinian homes in Jenin

West Bank - Israeli occupying forces, increasing their aggression on Palestinians, blew up on Tuesday morning two homes belonging to Muhammad and Ghaith Jaradat, in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

Local sources reported that large forces of the Israeli occupation military stormed the town, sealed it off, raided the homes of the detained Palestinians, Muhammad and Ghaith Jaradat, located in the Silat al-Harithiya town in occupied Jenin, and blew them up.

In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces demolished Mahmoud Jaradat's house on February 22, claiming that he, along with Muhammad and Ghaith Jaradat, has carried out the Homesh operation.

The invading forces regularly carry out demolitions of homes belonging to native Palestinians in the occupied enclave to intimidate and scare them off.

Last year, demolitions and seizure of properties belonging to Palestinians in the West Bank have shot up by 32 percent. Over 650 Palestinians were displaced as a result, more than half of them children.

It is worth mentioning that these measures are considered by international law as “collective punishment”.
