West Bank - A number of citizens suffered from suffocation yesterday while they were thwarting an attack by settlers on the town of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus.

Palestinian officials in the northern occupied West Bank said that a group of colonial settlers attacked the homes of citizens on the eastern side of Asira al-Qibliya town, and the citizens confronted them which led to confrontations with the occupation forces who were present to protect the settlers.

The Israeli occupation forces opened live ammunition and fired tear gas canisters at the Palestinians, in addition to assaulting and detaining a Palestinian local official for a short period.
The occupation forces and settlers carry out daily attacks on Palestinian citizens of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
