Photojournalist Jaafar Shtayyeh, a photographer for the AFB, survived a deliberate attack by a colonial settler, while he was near the Hawara military checkpoint, south of Nablus.

Shtayyeh reported that a zionist settler tried to knock him down while he was near the checkpoint covering the incident of the injury of the young man, Muhammad Ismail Abu Sabra, by Israeli occupying forces.

Shtayyeh stressed that the incident was deliberate, stressing that media coverage has become more dangerous recently, and that the occupation soldiers and settlers are directly targeting journalists, with the aim of hiding the truth.
