Dozens injured as Israeli occupation forces suppress anti-settlement project in Al-Khalil

West Bank - Dozens of Palestinian civilians suffocated today, Friday, after the Israeli occupation forces suppressed an activity against the expulsion of 1,300 Palestinians, in Masafer Yatta, south of Al-Khalil.

Local sources said that the event was held with the participation of foreign solidarity activists, activists from the occupied territories in 1948, and the people of Masafer Yatta, after the Friday prayer near the village of Al-Tuwani, which is threatened with displacement.

It is noteworthy that the so-called “Israeli Supreme Court” in occupied Jerusalem rejected, on May 5, a petition submitted by the residents of 12 residential communities in the villages of Masafer Yatta (south of Al-Khalil) in the occupied West Bank, against the occupation’s decision to declare them “firing zones.”

“This is the final proof for us that there is no justice to be sought for Palestinians in Israeli courts. There’s only justice for Jews,” said Nidal Younes, 64, who directs an unofficial local council of the Palestinian villages.
