Dozens injured as Israeli occupation forces, settlers attack Palestinians

May 29, 2022

Israeli occupation forces and settlers injured forty Palestinian civilians in and around the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, while confronting the colonial "Flag March" by which Zionist settlers commemorate the "reunification of Jerusalem" in 1967.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its staff dealt with 40 injuries in and around the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Society added that "15 injuries were taken to hospital for treatment, and the remaining were treated in the field," noting that these injuries were caused by rubber-coated steel bullets, beatings, and pepper gas by Israeli occupying forces.
This evening, Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces detained six young Jerusalemites while they were on Al-Rasheed Street in occupied Jerusalem, whose identities have not yet been identified, which raises the number of detainees during the last hours to more than 30.
During the provocative march, the colonial settlers insulted the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and chanted racist slogans calling for the "death to the Arabs".
In a related context, a Palestinian flags-waving march took place in occupied Jerusalem, in response to the Judaizing "flag march" organized by the settlers.

In the same context, terrorist settlers pepper-sprayed a Jerusalemite woman in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem,  on Al-Wad Street in the Old City, noting that the citizens confronted them.

In a later development, the settlers attacked and assaulted Palestinian-owned homes and properties in the occupied Jerusalem  neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
