Israeli occupation soldiers shot a young Palestinian man at the Huwwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Local sources said the Palestinian, not yet identified, was shot at the checkpoint before the occupation soldiers closed the area.

They added that Palestinian Red Crescent Society medics (PRCS) rushed to the checkpoint, but the occupying soldiers refused to allow them to reach the wounded young man.

The occupation soldiers then detained the wounded young man and took him to an unknown destination after closing the entire area.

The Israeli occupation military claims an occupying soldier shot and detained the Palestinian when he reportedly approached the roadblock carrying a knife.
