In response to the Israeli occupation military's allegations about Hamas' underground tunnels, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said "The Israeli occupation military is spreading lies and fabrications of the existence of weaponry in civilian populated areas in the Gaza Strip."

"This allegation proves the Israeli occupation authorities' real crisis before human rights institutions and international bodies," Qassem added. 

Qassem went on to say, "some scenes published by the Israeli occupation military are of places where it committed massacres against defenseless Palestinian civilians."
