Israeli occupation forces shot and critically injured a Palestinian civilian this early morning who later succumbed to wounds, Palestine's Health Ministry confirmed.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the occupied West Bank city of Tubas at dawn and shot the Palestinian elder, Salah Tawfiq Sawafta, 58, to the head, critically injuring him before he was pronounced dead hours after.

The sources added the occupying soldiers invaded Tubas and attacked protesters with live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, shooting Salah in the head while he was leaving a mosque in the city following dawn prayer.
