Israeli occupation soldiers shot and injured three Palestinians with live fire and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in the cities of Al-Khalil and Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said the Palestinians were holding a nonviolent procession in solidarity with Palestinian hunger striker, detainee Khalil Awawda, when the occupying soldiers attacked them with live fire, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
The occupying soldiers then used guns with silencers to fire at the protesters, moderately wounding two young men before being rushed to hospital.
In the same context, medical sources said Israeli occupation soldiers shot a young Palestinian former detainee with a live round in the leg in Saida town, north of Tulkarem.
They added that the wounded young man was rushed to a hospital in Tulkarem; his wounds have been described as moderate.
The freed detainee was shot during protests after several Israeli occupation jeeps invaded several neighborhoods in the town.
