The British government has urged the Israeli occupation authorities to conduct a "swift and thorough" investigation into the killing of 12-year-old Mahmoud Mohammad Samoudi in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

In a press statement Monday, the British consulate in Jerusalem called for "restraint in the use of live ammunition."

Samoudi succumbed on Monday evening to wounds suffered after Israeli occupation forces shot him with live ammunition during a raid in the Jenin refugee camp on 28 September.
