Israeli occupation forces shot and critically injured a young Palestinian man and injured at least three others after storming the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed. The injured Palestinian was later announced dead.

Local sources said many Israeli occupation military vehicles raided Jenin city before the occupying soldiers stormed many buildings, ransacked them, and occupied their rooftops as sniper posts and monitoring towers.

Several Palestinians protested the invasion and threw stones at the Israeli invading forces who extensively fired live rounds, injuring four, including one critically, the sources added.

The Ministry confirmed that the seriously injured young man, Salah Briki, 19, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered after an occupying soldier shot him with a live round in the neck.

Briki's death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers since the beginning of this year, 2022, to 175, including 41 children; 51 Palestinians were killed in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
