Al-Qassam Website - Hamas movement said that the Israeli occupation's decision to demolish dozens of Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem, including the houses of Palestinian freedom fighters, coupled with its threats to commit further crimes and violations against Palestinian detainees and their families, "represents a full-fledged crime that is tantamount to a collective punishment policy."
Such policy will neither break our Palestinian people's will nor will it grant the Israeli occupation legitimacy over our occupied Palestinian homeland or provide security to Israeli colonial settlers, Hamas reiterated.
In a press statement, Hamas emphasised that "our Palestinian people will confront such arbitrary and racist measures until regaining their freedom and all their national rights and achieve their aspiration for an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital."
Holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of such a move, Hamas called on the international community and the United Nations to immediately act to block the Israeli occupation from implementing such fascist schemes targeting the Palestinian people in violation of the most basic human rights standards and international humanitarian law.
