Al-Qassam Website - The Hamas movement has denounced the Israeli occupation's settler colonial project to build a suspension bridge in the Wadi al-Rababa neighbourhood in occupied Jerusalem's Silwan town. 

In a press release, Hamas said that such a plan "is tantamount to an appalling infringement upon the town's national identity and is a continuation of the Israeli occupation's policy of Judaizing occupied Jerusalem and altering its civilised and cultural features."

The Palestinian Resistance Movement reiterated that the Israeli occupation's relentless efforts to expand its settler-colonial projects in full view of the whole world in blatant violation of all international treaties and resolutions that criminalised settlement construction "will be met by further steadfastness and resilience."

In light of this, Hamas called on the international community to take effective action in response to the Israeli colonial settler and Judaisation policies, which threaten peace and stability in the region.
