Al-Qassam Website - Israeli occupation aircraft have launched tens of aerial strikes against areas in the besieged Gaza Strip as part of a series of attacks against the Palestinian people.

Local sources reported that the occupation fighter jets had attacked late Tuesday night areas in the blockaded territory, injuring at least six Palestinians, one critically, and causing significant damage and spreading terror among the defenceless civilians.

Loud explosions in the blockaded coastal enclave had been heard and clouds of smoke arose above the targeted locations.

The attacks come after rockets were launched following the death of Khader Adnan, a Palestinian hunger striker who was withheld medical attention in an Israeli occupation prison.

Adnan had been on hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention for 86 days before he was announced dead early Tuesday.

Adnan's dead was condemned by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas as a "deliberate, cold-blooded assassination".
