Al-Qassam Website _ In less than two days following the announcement of a ceasefire deal between the settler-colonial occupation state of Israel and the Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, on Wednesday, the former's genocidal military conducted a series of deadly airstrikes that have killed dozens, according to a spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defense agency.

Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, said on Friday Israeli occupation strikes on the devastated coastal enclave have killed 116 people and injured over 264 since the ceasefire deal was announced.

Basal described the period surrounding the ceasefire deal as "the bloodiest day in the past week" for Gaza.

The United Nations’ Human Rights Council condemned the strikes, expressing dismay that the occupation state continued to bomb Gaza indiscriminately, killing Palestinian civilians even though a ceasefire had been announced and there were expectations of calm until it took effect.

Earlier on Friday, Hamas accused the Israeli occupation government of attempting to thwart the ceasefire-hostage deal by deliberately intensifying aerial attacks on the already devastated enclave.
