WEST BANK, Aug, 31 - The Israeli occupation forces launched, at dawn, a campaign of raids and arrests that targeted several areas of the occupied West Bank.
In Al-Khalil, the occupation forces raided the town of Dura and arrested Hiyam Rajoub, the wife of the prisoner Salim Rajoub, and stormed the Al-Arroub camp in the north of the governorate and arrested Tariq Jawabra, the two brothers Ihab and Muhammad al-Jundi, and Muhammad Jawabra, and took them to an unknown destination, local sources reported.
In the same context, the occupation forces set up military checkpoints in several neighborhoods in the city of Al-Khalil, and at the entrances to the towns of Sa'ir and Halhul. They stopped and searched vehicles and checked the citizens' cards causing a traffic jam.
In Tubas, the occupation forces detained Ahed Bani Odeh, after raiding and searching his family's house in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas. They also searched the home of the freed prisoner Jamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Prisoner's Club in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, stated.
Confrontations erupted between the Palestinian young men and the occupation forces, who fired live and rubber bullets and tear gas canisters. No injuries were reported.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, the occupation forces arrested Omar Shaheen (24 years), after raiding his family’s house in the Al-Masayef neighborhood in Ramallah, and tampering with its contents.
The forces also arrested the teen Ahmed Nofal (17 years), and the two young men, Muhammad Samhan (20 years), and Bashar Nofal (21 years), after they raided and searched their families’ homes.
In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces detained the two young men, Qusai Muhammad Ibrahim from Anata, and Muhammad Halabiya from Abu Dis, after they raided and searched their families’ homes.
In Bethlehem, the occupation forces detained Anas Diriyah (20 years), from the town of Beit Fajjar in the south, Adel Nawara (42 years), from the center of Bethlehem, and Raed Shuaibat (26 years), from the city of Beit Sahour after raiding and searching their families' homes.
