Ceasefire takes effect today, Al Qassam Brigades will painfully respond in case of violating truce

After this stage of legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people who made it to face injustice siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. This truce came after a successful resistance stage and after the convoy of the martyrs from our people and the wounded who lined the most wonderful successive championship and sacrifice. Today ,we stand with all responsibility to take the right decision at the appropriate time , in order to end something of Palestinian people suffering and to mitigate what we can do to our people.

Hence, we declare the beginning of the truce, which is nationally agreed by all resistance factions, from six o'clock on Thursday morning 19th June, 2008. The truce is to be mutual and conditioned by stopping all forms of Zionist occupation aggression against Palestinian people , lifting the siege and opening all crossings with Gaza Strip.

Accordingly, The Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades emphasize the following:

v  We are fully committed to everything which is committed by the political leadership regarding the truce, we believe that it is a need to ease Palestinian people suffering and to promote the option of resistance and steadfastness, and it is not as a free gift to the occupation in anyhow.

v  Al Qassam Brigades is ready to launch a military attack that can shake the of the Zionist entity if the enemy don't abide to all terms of truce agreement, and the enemy will bear the results of any mistakes committed.

v  Zionist captive soldier "Gilad Shalit" will not be released until Palestinian  prisoners is released. We insure our prisoners , their families and our people that the issue of prisoners is still in the top priority.

v  Al Qassam Brigades would respond to any aggression against our land and our people. Al Qassam is ready for all possibilities and will not allow the occupation to betray our people without painful response.
