Statement on heroic breakout of Palestinian detainees from 'Gilboa' prison

The Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades praise the unique and heroic act by a group of heroic freedom fighters and prisoners at 'Gilboa' jail, who wrested their freedom with their fingernails under the noses of the Israeli occupation, breaking through the walls of injustice and aggression.

Working day and night to liberate the prisoners is the duty of every Palestinian, and capturing Israeli occupation soldiers and concluding prisoner exchange deals with the Israeli occupation is an irreversible strategy adopted by the Palestinian resistance to release Palestinian detainees. This successful attempt by a group of brave-hearted fighters to restore their freedom themselves under complicated circumstances affirms the correctness of the Palestinian resistance’s approach to liberate Palestinian detainees.

The Palestinian people have a sacred duty to protect these freedom fighters and not allow the Israeli occupation to capture them.

We renew our pledge to all our prisoners that their freedom is a religious duty, and breaking their chains is a decision we made and an obligation we must fulfill.
