Statement on Recapturing the Heroes of Freedom Tunnel Operation

“Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades has been closely monitoring the developments of the situation regarding the Gilboa Freedom Tunnel operation and its resilient heroes.  The Qassam leadership looks with pride for the heroes of this operation, Muhammad Al-A’rda, Jacob Qadri, Mahmoud Al-A’rda, Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, Ayham Kamamji, and Monadel Nfi’at who made us, Palestinians and Arabs, proud by their well-planned and excellently implemented operation. This operation once again demonstrated the fragility of the occupation’s security theory that falls every time under the feet of our people and their will."

“Re-capturing the heroes of Operation Freedom Tunnel does not obscure the truth of their honorable work, and it only increases our people’s pride in the courage and steadfastness of their resistance prisoners. Recapturing them does not and will not conceal the disgrace and shame that befell the Zionist security system. It will not restore the image of the terrible failure that this enemy and its institutions have suffered.”

"We, the Qassam Brigades, say today clearly, in everyone’s hearing, if the heroes of the Gilboa freedom tunnel operation have liberated themselves from beneath the ground, we promise them and our resilient detainees they will be liberated soon, from above it. The jailers themselves will open the doors of the cells for them, and they will come out as they have always been with their heads held high in a new deal. Let the Zionist occupation know that no future prisoners’ swap will be but with releasing the heroes of Gilboa freedom tunnel operation.”

“We, the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian resistance, in the face of the enemy’s threats to our people and resistance in the occupied West Bank and Jenin and its steadfast camp, affirm that Jenin camp and its revolutionaries and heroes are not alone, and we will not allow the occupation to abuse them, and we will abide by our religious and national duty towards them.”

“Finally, we support and stand by our great people and our honorable captives in their honorable uprising, and we say to them: “Do not weaken and do not grieve, and do not worry, for steadfast resistance is at your back. We, our free detainees, are with you, and we will not abandon you, and we will always be by your side as we used to, and we will not allow the occupation to single you out.”

"Tomorrow, Sept 12, the memorial of Resistance Day, marks the anniversary of defeating and expelling the occupation from Gaza (Day of Resistance). This defeat confirms the correctness of our approach and our strategy in resisting the occupation and preparing for our sacred battle, the battle to liberate land, people, and sanctities."
