Al-Qassam Brigades responds to Israeli occupation forces, colonial settlers' aggression

On the path of martyrdom and sacrifice, and in defiance of the Israeli occupation's aggression and malicious schemes against occupied Jerusalem and Palestinian detainees the al-Qassam resistance fighters persist in their valiant efforts against the colonial occupation and its settlers.

In response to the continued assaults by the Israeli occupation, two courageous fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades, identified as 23-year-old Abdul Rahman Ata and 27-year-old Hozaifa Fares, have opened fire on Israeli colonial settlers in "Avnei Hefetz" colonial settlement.

The confrontation extended to Israeli occupation soldiers stationed at a nearby military checkpoint, resulting in the martyrdom of the two resistance fighters.
Claiming responsibility for this heroic operation, we, the al-Qassam Brigades, state the following:

First: This operation is a continuation of the one executed in the occupied Talkarm refugee camp, where resistance fighters successfully ambushed Israeli occupation soldiers, inflicting injuries on five, three of them seriously.

Second: This operation is part of a series of retaliatory actions in response to the ongoing aggression by the occupation forces against our al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestinian women, and detainees.

Third: We pay tribute to our Palestinian people who stand resolute against the settler colonial occupation, steadfastly defending their homeland.

Fourth: The colonial occupation's endeavours to suppress our resistance are doomed to failure.
