Tuffah Operations Summary: Wednesday & Thursday (July 26-27, 2006)

26  Martyrs, including seven Qassam mujahideen,  and 70  wounded ...

In response : Al-Qassam fired 10 Qassams, 47 Mortars , 17 Yassins,  7 RPG's, .....

 

Since the campaign of the "Summer rains" started, the  occupation forces have not achieve any declared objectives in the war against the Palestinians. During attacks on the north of the Gaza Strip, the number of Qassam rockets fired doubled. During the attack on Maghazi the number of occupation casualties increased when mujahideen surprised occupation infantry at the start of the attack.

 

The same happened in the Tuffah area. The Zionist occupation forces attacked the area claiming that the target will be stopping the firing of Qassam Rockets and striking the places of Mujahedeen. However, the victims were mostly civilians.

 

The total number of the victims in this new attack on the Gaza Strip is more than 26  martyrs, including seven Qassam men, and the wounded were more than 70. These martyrs are killed by the fire of the Zionist forces during the 48 hours of the attack on Tuffah. In addition to this new attack, the occupation forces warned many Palestinians to leave their homes that will be bombarded. The warnings were given by phone, before one hour or two hours before the launch. 

 

During the two days of attack on Tuffah , the "Faithfulness of the Free" campaign continued. On Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades mujahideen fired 10 Qassam Rockets at the Zionist settlements. In addition, they fired 17 Yassin missiles at the  occupation soldiers and vehicles. Also, the mujahideen fired 47 mortar shells at armored vehicles. Finally, 7  RPG missiles were fired and two  "Shewath" bombs were detonated against occupation army vehicles.
