Al-Qassam Field Commander Dies of Wounds Sustained in Preventive Security Ambush

 

On June 16, 2006, Yaser Ibrahim Mohammad El-Ghalban, a field commander in Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades in Khan Yunis, died of wounds sustained on June 4, 2006. El-Ghalban was seriously wounded in an ambush by members of the Preventive Security Service "Death Squad," near one of their compounds in Khan Yunis. El-Ghalban's sister in law, who was 6-months pregnant, was killed in the ambush. In addition, his cousin was killed, and his daughter and another cousin were injured.

 

Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades mourns the death of Yaser El-Ghalban. On this sad occasion, Al-Qassam Brigades affirms that this crime is a continuation of the crimes perpetrated by members of the Preventive Security Service. Al-Qassam Brigades is confident that Palestinians will show no sympathy or mercy towards these criminal gangs, terrorizing the people. These criminals will eventually receive their due punishment.
