Al-Qassam Website - Hamas has condemned the attack by Israeli occupation forces on Palestinian protesters in the Al-Bustan neighbourhood in occupied Jerusalem by firing bullets and gas grenades into them and using wastewater cannons to disperse them as a brutal crime that violates the freedom of worship.

In a press statement Friday, the movement added "This is part of the religious war waged by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people of the occupied Palestinian capital".

Hamas held the fascist Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the repercussions of this reprehensible crime aimed at forcibly displacing the Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation's aggression would not break the will of the Palestinian people to stand steadfast in the face of the schemes targeting occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian resistance movement reiterated.

Hamas called on the Arab and Muslim Ummah and the free peoples of the world to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and expose the heinous crimes committed by the occupation forces against them.

Hamas also called on them to work towards holding the occupation state's leaders accountable for their continued crimes and violations of international conventions and resolutions.
